Clara Aguilera Joins EU Focus Group as Partner

We are very honoured to welcome Clara Aguilera as a new Partner within the EU Focus Group leadership team.

A well-known figure of the Spanish Socialist Party, Clara has held major political responsibilities over the past decades: Minister for Agriculture and the Interior in Andalucía, Vice-Chair of the European Parliament’s Agriculture Committee and for over 10 years, she served as lead spokesperson for the S&D Group on food-related policies. She was also a substitute member of the ENVI Committee, working on environment, public health and food safety issues.

With her arrival, Clara will:

• Strengthen our high-level expertise in health, environment, food and beverages and agro-chemicals;
• Contribute to EUFG’s strategic dialogue with the current Spanish government, supporting our ability to act across political lines, alongside MIGUEL MARÍN, our Partner in charge of economic strategy and research;
• Consolidate our presence and influence within the Spanish delegation to the European Parliament.

Her appointment is part of EU Focus Group’s structured growth strategy:

• Deliver senior-level advice only;
• Focus on the chemicals–food–agriculture nexus;
• Ensure Ministerial-level engagement in all EU Member States;
• Offer a multi-disciplinary approach, combining legal, scientific and socio-economic expertise.

Clara’s long-standing experience and strategic insight are a powerful addition to our mission.
