Conference Description

As we transition into EU AI Act implementation, its success hinges on the effective collaboration and communication between the multiple authorities and actors tasked with its enforcement.

Our panel will critically examine the roles and interactions of key stakeholders, including AI Market Surveillance Authorities (MSAs), AI Notifying Authorities, National Public Authorities tasked with fundamental rights enforcement in Member States, and Data Protection Authorities (DPAs).

The discussion will focus on the challenges and opportunities in building cooperative frameworks, fostering communication, and ensuring alignment across these communities to fulfil the EU AI Act’s regulatory, ethical, and fundamental rights requirements.

Panellists will also explore potential overlaps and gaps in mandates, practical approaches to cross-agency coordination, and strategies for fostering trust, transparency, and coordination among stakeholders.

By bringing together perspectives from legal, ethical, and operational domains, the session will provide actionable insights into how Europe can lead in creating an effective and human-centred AI governance framework.

What will the round-table cover?

Our discussion will cover 3 main segments:

  1. Defining Roles and Responsibilities in AI Governance;
  2. Overcoming Challenges in AI Oversight and Enforcement;
  3. Strengthening Cooperation for Effective AI Governance.

Followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
