The European Crop Protection Association (ECPA) is the pan-European voice of the crop protection industry. This Brussels-based trade association represents 22 market-leading companies as well as national associations in 32 countries. ECPA’s members provide traditional crop protection products such as insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, biopesticides, as well as hybrid and genetically modified seeds.

ECPA is looking for a highly motivated Science and Technical Junior Manager. The position reports to the Director of Regulatory Affairs. It provides support to ECPA expert groups and represents the industry in relevant industry fora and in external EU stakeholder dialogue processes.


  • Promote rational approaches to technical, scientific and regulatory issues affecting the crop protection industry, together with ECPA working groups and external industry association groups;
  • Monitor scientific, technical, regulatory and policy developments in the EU, international organisations and conventions;
  • Develop industry positions on key technical, scientific and regulatory issues;
  • Communicate and present ECPA’s views in external fora.


The successful candidate will require:

  • A scientific background and education (PhD level desirable but not essential), preferably in a health related subject (e.g. toxicology, physiology, epidemiology);
  • 1-3 years of experience in the technical, scientific or regulatory field, preferably in the chemical industry;
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written;
  • A high motivation and the ability to work independently;
  • High personal values and a strong taste for teamwork.
