World Vision Brussels and EU Representation (EUREP) pursues World Vision’s global vision, mission and strategy through its role:
World Vision Brussels was established 20 years ago, initially as a single EU representative, then a small office governed by WV European office CEOs, then re-constituted six years ago as a Belgian registered non-profit association and a ‘global capital’ of World Vision International, governed by a Board which brings together WV European offices and relevant WV Partnership leaders. Investment in the small, dynamic team (12-15) has contributed to strong growth in EU grants across World Vision, with annual acquisition value growing from around €10 million annually in 2012 to over €60 million in 2016/2017. Relations, influence and advocacy with key EU humanitarian and development institutions are well established and WV is known for bringing the voice of children and young people to influence EU policy. WV Brussels refreshed its strategic direction in 2016 in light of the World Vision Partnership ‘Our Promise 2030’ strategy with the aims of sustaining growth in EU grant acquisitions and be a trusted partner in child focused development and humanitarian action by EU institutions.
To lead the World Vision Brussels team/office, mobilising the World Vision Partnership to sustain growth in income from, and influence with, European Union institutions in order to increase impact in the lives of vulnerable children worldwide.
