The main objective of the alliance is to defend and promote the rights of authors of music at the national, European and international level by any legal means. ECSA advocates for equitable commercial conditions for composers and songwriters and strives to improve social and economic development of music creation in Europe.
ECSA is an international non-profit organisation registered under Belgium law.
The Brussels Office was set up in order to co-ordinate ECSA relations with European institutions, i.e. the European Commission (EC), the Council of the European Union (EU) and the European Parliament (EP), as well as to liaise with several European and international industry associations and NGOs which represent stakeholders active in the field of culture, copyright and the music industry. The Brussels Office also serves as ECSA Headquarters, providing membership service, intelligence on policy developments and acting as a focal point for ECSA members.
The Secretary General is appointed by the ECSA board of directors.
The overall role of the Secretary General is to ensure the implementation of ECSA’s mission statement and aims, as well as to secure highest standards in terms of quality and productivity of the organization.
Gross Annual Salary: 65 000 EUR + additional benefits subject to the candidate’s experience. This position is based in Brussels, frequent travelling is required.
