WindEurope is the association for wind energy in Europe. We represent the entire value chain: turbine manufacturers, power utilities, project developers, component suppliers, contractors, banks, insurance companies, and research institutes. Our members also include the national wind energy associations of all the countries in Europe.

WindEurope actively promotes wind power in Europe and worldwide. Our policy division analyses market and policy trends to formulate positions for the wind industry on strategic issues. It also cooperates with industry and research institutions on a number of market development and technology research projects. Our lobbying and communication activities aim to create an enabling policy framework at EU and national level that helps our members to successfully develop their businesses.

As part of this effort WindEurope is seeking an Analyst - responsible for delivering internal analyses, external studies and policy papers on technology and policy developments in wind energy and energy systems. He/she will also be responsible of coordinating member-based working groups. The person will be responsible also for:

Technology and market intelligence:

  • Collect technical information on the main technology trends in wind energy, particularly on digitalisation and system integration in order to develop consistent and robust arguments aimed at implementing effectively WindEurope’s strategy;
  • Perform desk research and coordinate surveys among experts to create written material on wind energy research and innovation trends;
  • Lead WindEurope Market Intelligence development on digitalisation by providing content to existing products and initiating new ones;
  • Support WindEurope team on grid and system integration technologies, policy and regulations;
  • Work in close collaboration with external experts from industry, WindEurope members, national associations and other stakeholders to prioritise challenges and opportunities and deliver an annual work programme of activities related to his/her field of expertise;
  • Support the publications of reports, internal briefings, interactive data tools, presentations;
  • Administering and troubleshooting digital market intelligence products, databases and online tools.

Project Management:

  • Support the development of EU-funded project proposals in both, content and identification of relevant consortium partners.


  • Coordinate the technical content information of one or more WindEurope Working Groups , Taskforces or ad-hoc networks related to digitalisation and System integration;
  • Advise WindEurope members on relevant decisions and industry developments at national and EU level;
  • Implement and execute membership services in line with WindEurope objectives and strategy.


  • Develop, strengthen and broaden an extensive advocacy network across the EU institutions, national authorities, international organisations and other stakeholders relevant to his/her area of expertise;
  • Formulate policy recommendations for decision makers in order to improve political and legal frameworks for wind energy, especially at EU-level;
  • Write policy positions papers, reports, presentations and general materials related to his/her specific areas of expertise;
  • Participate in external events and deliver presentations to promote and disseminate WindEurope's messages to external audiences;
  • Participate and actively contribute to WindEurope events;
  • Answer external stakeholders queries related to his/her area of expertise, policies and other wind energy related topics or WindEurope work.

Required Qualifications:


  • Masters in Science/Engineering or Masters in Communications;
  • Candidates with renewable energy and/or energy background will be prioritised.


  • At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the energy sector, involving the collection and analyse of data and writing technical reports;
  • Experience with the coordination of multiple-stakeholder groups, including industry and policy makers is an asset.

Personal skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge on energy and renewables;
  • Proven analytical and numerical skills;
  • Good understanding of renewables and wind energy technology;
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook, website management, internet search engines) and basic programming languages like visual basic, html, python, C++, SQL;
  • Additional software and modelling tools are an asset;
  • Proven ability to manage complex organisational and political relationships;
  • Ability to engage with high level parties;
  • Self-confidence;
  • Problem solving attitude;
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines;
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise;
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills;
  • Thrives in a multicultural and international environment;
  • Ability to work as a team player as well as independently.


  • English (fluent written and verbal) is mandatory;
  • Other languages are an asset to deal with members, external technical experts, and subcontractors.
