EuroMed Rights is looking for a new experienced and dynamic Executive Director based in the Copenhagen Headquarter.
EuroMed Rights is a network of 80 human rights organisations from over 25 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean region. Its key working topics are migration and asylum, women’s rights and gender equality, shrinking space for civil society, discrimination, justice and economic and social rights. Its main actions consist in supporting members’ networking and capacity building, and their advocacy mainly targeting EU institutions and governments in the region and conducting documentation and communication activities. It has offices and/or staff in Copenhagen, Brussels, Tunis, Paris and Rabat.
EuroMed Rights is one of few settings where civil society organisations from all strands of the Euro-Med region meet at equal level to work together, while providing regional civil society responses to issues of regional and national concern.
The Executive Director has both a strategic and management role: he/she has the leading role in shaping and taking forward EuroMed Rights’ strategy, work program and fund raising, working closely with the President and the Executive Committee that he/she refers to.
The Executive Director is also the lead officer of EuroMed Rights’ Secretariat in charge of ensuring the development and sustainability of the organisation. He/she manages the staff (35 persons in total, 7 in Copenhagen) and organises the work of the Secretariat in close cooperation with the management group.

The wage and other benefits are negotiated considering the candidate’s experience and standards for Danish NGO Directors. EuroMed Rights will assist a successful non-EU citizen candidate in obtaining the relevant residence permits.
