ARTE.TV/INFO is getting ready to cover the next European elections. The issues related to this big event must be addressed so that Europeans can understand what is going on and exercise their civil rights. In the newsroom, this means carrying out analyses that reflect European pluralism and showing them visually so that they are clear and accessible.

Role

  • Suggesting topics linked to the elections and original angles;
  • Creating content (independently or with a video-journalist);
  • Carrying out interviews and creating presentations (mini news broadcasts);
  • Finalising topics (supervising editing, recording comments, coordinating the second language version);
  • Publishing (titling, uploading) and adapting for social networks.

Skills

  • You are passionate about current affairs and have a proven track record in European issues;
  • You can produce "classic" reporting, but also mobile and Instagram reporting;
  • You are an enthusiastic team player who contributes to the group effort;
  • You are available for weekend shifts.

Profile

  • You have a degree in journalism;
  • You have significant professional experience in the field of audiovisual and online news;
  • You are fluent in French and have a very good knowledge of German or you are fluent in German and have a very good knowledge of French. English is a big plus;
  • You have experience in AV content management with CMS, blogs and social media.

ARTE in Strasbourg is offering

  • Two 26‑week fixed‑term full‑time contracts from January 2019;
  • Two 8‑week fixed‑term part‑time contracts at 60% (3 days per week) from mid‑April 2019 within the Information Unit for the info.arte.tv service.
