Parallel to our continued growth, we are now seeking a Business Development Coordinator to join our international team in Brussels.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Coordinator will work with members of the Brussels office and other staff working on the European market across Ecorys offices. Key responsibilities include the following:

1) Work winning

  • Actively monitoring new opportunities and coordinating the full-cycle of tender preparation from start to submission;
  • Liaising with contracting authorities, Ecorys offices, partners, subcontractors and external experts;
  • Understanding the technical and administrative requirements for tender opportunities and ensuring that all documentary requirements are fully met;
  • Maintaining and pro-actively improving existing systems and processes for tender coordination and preparation;
  • Tracking and reporting on overall performance.

2) Contract delivery

  • Facilitating swift contract signature and start-up following the award of tenders;
  • Issuing work orders for Ecorys offices that are responsible for the delivery of specific assignments;
  • Liaising with finance teams on invoicing and payments;
  • Maintaining and pro-actively improving existing systems and processes for the coordination of contract delivery through Ecorys Europe.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in business/economics/social/political sciences, or other relevant field;
  • At least 3 years’ professional experience in working with European institutions, partners and organisations in the EU institutional environment;
  • Excellent co-ordination and organisational skills with a very high degree of accuracy and eye for detail;
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines and prioritise work, with proven experience in a demanding environment;
  • Excellent command of English and good level of French. Other European languages would be an asset;
  • Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills;
  • Good numerical skills (reviewing and understanding budgets, quality checks, logical consistency etc.);
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Experience in European tenders/contracts administrative management;
  • Experience in coordination, time management and process planning of teams;
  • Team player who can work in a highly international work environment;
  • A positive, result-oriented and can-do attitude.

Conditions

  • This is a full time post under Belgian law and based in the Ecorys Brussels office;
  • Competitive remuneration package dependent on experience and expertise in consultant grade;
  • The post holder will be entitled to 27 days of paid annual leave in addition to 10 days of bank holiday.
