JOB SUMMARY

Working from our Brussels Office the Intern will work in our Capital Markets team providing assistance to the Head of Regulatory Outreach in support of EU policy engagement activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support the Head of Regulatory outreach in the fulfillment of her daily tasks (redirecting calls, disseminating correspondence, scheduling meetings etc.);
  • Attending meetings with the head of regulatory outreach both with stakeholders and policymakers;
  • Support the administrative operations of the CFA Institute Brussels Office;
  • Monitoring of European and international regulatory developments in financial services and investor protection; follow capital markets union and changes in supervision at EU level;
  • Assist on the preparation of briefings, assessments and political fact sheets, PowerPoint and bullets for speeches;
  • Organization and assistance of CFA events and note taking as well as attending external stakeholder events.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • The position requires a body of knowledge consistent with someone who has either completed their education and are about to enter the job market or, are no more than one year away from completing an MA or Undergraduate degree in European Affairs;
  • Knowledge of EU financial services policies;
  • Fluent English is essential; additional languages would be desired;
  • Must be organized with strong research skills;
  • Fully familiar with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • A professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively.
