Trinomics is looking for a self-motivated Senior Consultant Circular Economy with a rigorous background in and knowledge of circular economy and waste management policies and practices in the European context, strong economic skills and analytical capacity, an eye for detail, the willingness to go that extra mile if necessary, and a desire to work within and lead multidisciplinary project teams.

As part of the expansion of our European business operations, we are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant with relevant technical and policy expertise in Circular Economy to join our EU environment policy team, based in either Brussels (BE) or Rotterdam (NL). This role will support the cluster manager in further expanding Trinomics’ project portfolio in the area of circular economy and waste management through policy development and assessments (e.g. EU Impact Assessments and Evaluations).

Profile of the candidate:

To apply, you should have a rigorous background in and knowledge of circular economy and waste management policies and practices in the European context, strong economic skills and analytical capacity, an eye for detail, the willingness to go that extra mile if necessary, and a desire to work within and lead multidisciplinary project teams. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

Required:

  • Completed Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Environmental Science or another related discipline;
  • At least 6-10 years of relevant working experience in a similar environment (i.e. consultancy, think tank or other (policy) research organisation);
  • Demonstrated expertise in the area of EU circular economy and waste management policy via previous employment experience and/or consultancy assignments;
  • Demonstrated experience in (leading) the delivery of consultancy assignments;
  • Demonstrated experience in carrying out (pro-active) business development and acquisition in the required areas of expertise, together with a good network of established contacts with practitioners and clients within the (European) circular economy policy community;
  • Ability to work, write and communicate fluently in English. Ability to work in any additional languages (such as Dutch, French, Spanish, or German) is considered as an advantage;
  • Eligible to work in the European Union.
