The European Climate Foundation (ECF) was founded in 2008 as a major philanthropic initiative to help tackle climate change by fostering the development of a low-carbon society at the national, European and global level.
We support over 280 partner organisations to carry out activities that contribute to the public debate on climate action, drive urgent and ambitious policy in support of the objectives of the Paris Agreement and help deliver a socially responsible transition to a net-zero emissions economy and sustainable society in Europe and around the world.
The ECF Programme Industry & Innovation works with and supports a wide range of partners in civil society, think tanks, research, politics and industry to support positive action on climate in European heavy industry, both at the level of the EU and in major member states. Our goal is to contribute to a thriving European industry that is able to meet the objectives of the Paris Agreement of net-zero emissions. We aim to cluster our work not based on political spectrums but on implementable measures that can achieve tangible results. The role of the Associate Industry & Innovation contributes to and is central in implementing the ECF’s strategy for a clean heavy industry.
