SNV is a not-for-profit international development organisation that makes a lasting difference in the lives of people living in poverty by helping them raise incomes and access basic services. The organisation focus on only three sectors and have a long-term, local presence in over 25 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Their team of more than 1,300 staff is the backbone of SNV.
SNV bridges the gap between theory and practice, between policy ambitions and effective implementation at scale. They implement approaches that are tailored to local needs as they believe that countries and communities themselves should be the owners of change. With appropriate knowledge and resources, they can implement and maintain their own sustainable solutions to end poverty. They are experts in agriculture, energy, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). Their know-how services include advice, brokering and stakeholder engagement, advocacy, fund management, results-based financing, and delegated management.
SNV has an ambitious strategic plan (2019 -2022) also reflected to grow income from 110 M towards 150 M.
