About the position

Would you like the chance to join an international team, supporting environmental, social and technology projects, and undertake some travel in the UK and France?

The Interreg FCE programme is recruiting a Communications Support Officer to assist the Communications and Partnership Manager on communications, campaigns and media issues for the Programme in support of the objectives in the Communications Plan.

We are looking for someone with experience in communications. The role will include:

  • Supporting the Communications and Partnership Manager with the development and delivery of the annual Communications Plan;
  • Creating and publishing social media content, writing press releases, putting together newsletters, monitoring coverage and gathering analytics;
  • Keeping the website up-to-date and ensuring that content is relevant, accurate and compliant;
  • Assisting with general administration in the communications team, including organising and facilitating events and communications training;
  • Supporting project lead partners throughout their project’s lifetime with communication related requirements;
  • Understanding and applying relevant funding (EU) regulations, guidance, practices and reporting.

What we are looking for

  • Educated to degree level, or relevant experience in communications and media;
  • Good communication and drafting skills. Ability to speak and write in English and French, to a high standard including understanding of documents, and ability to convey complex messages;
  • Understanding of working in a political environment;
  • Experience of forward planning and managing competing priorities.
