Ecorys has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant/Research Manager to join our reputable and established Policy and Research team delivering impactful research and evaluation. The role will work across one or more of our markets (at EU-level or internationally) and across one or more of our policy areas.
The role of a Research Manager/Consultant is to support in the winning and delivery of research, evaluation, and consultancy projects. Specifically, for this role, in the Ecorys growing area of communications monitoring and evaluation.
The Research Manager role supports the winning and delivery of projects for a range of predominantly public sector clients, specifically the European Commission, its agencies, networks, communication partners and services.
The role involves working as part of a team on a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, monitoring and evaluation approaches. It involves analysing, writing up and presenting research results to our EU clients, their stakeholders and target audiences.
Technically, you will be involved in designing and running surveys, interview programmes and focus groups as well as collecting and analysing monitoring data on EU communication services, activities and campaigns. You will apply experience of using analytic software such as Stata, SPSS, Excel and NVivo.
In Ecorys, Research Managers also contribute to business development and work winning as part of a team, and you will develop your experience in pursuing new business opportunities and developing client contacts.

You will need to demonstrate effective project management by meeting tight deadlines in a fast paced environment whilst being active member of the team by contributing ideas, suggestions and taking part in training, team meetings and events.
You must be commercially aware and actively contribute to Ecorys proposals/bids to prospective EU clients, in response to invitations to tender. You will also have appreciation of Ecorys main EU clients, their key policies as well as contribute ideas for development of these markets.
You will also have experience of the design and implementation of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, will be able to produce high quality analytical outputs and written reports/outputs, and present research findings effectively.
Ideally, you will have a first degree and post graduate degree (in social science, social research, communications, geography, statistics, economics, research methods, evaluation methods, or other relevant fields).
European or international travel may be required and in fact encouraged when permitted.
