Working hours: 38 hours per week
Contract type: Unlimited
Salary: Between €2.487- €3.114 monthly gross salary (14 salary payments per year) based on relevant experience and qualifications, according to the Austrian Social Economy Collective Agreement (SWÖ-KV).
Basic Conditions:

  • Applicants must have a valid working and residence permit for Austria;
  • Professional work-experience in implementing effective campaigning and advocacy activities at European or international level.

WAVE is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Advocacy & Campaigning Coordinator, to support us with developing and implementing successful high level advocacy and related campaigns in our office in Vienna, Austria.

1) This role will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Coordinating WAVE’s European high level advocacy and related campaigns;
  • Planning and implementing national campaigning activities together with WAVE members;
  • Supporting WAVE members in developing their advocacy and campaigning capacities by enabling them to access relevant training opportunities.

2) To be considered for this role you should have the following respective experiences and skills:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years proven advocacy and campaigning experience in the NGO or public sector. Please note: this is an absolute essential criteria, if you do not have this level of experience we will need to disregard your application;
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the violence against women (VAW) sector, either in frontline services OR an advocacy and campaigning context;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective advocacy and campaigning activities at European or international level;
  • Ambitious and driven to achieve impact.

WAVE will organize two rounds of interviews with successful candidates. The dates suggested below are subject to adaptation. Individual time-slots will be agreed with successful candidates.

  • First interview round: October 11-15;
  • Second interview round: TBC.
