EPEE (www.epeeglobal.org) is the Business Association representing the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) Industry in Europe. Founded in the year 2000 in Brussels as the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment, EPEE’s membership is composed of ca. 50 member companies as well as national and international associations, representing over 30 billion Euros annual turnover, over 200.000 direct jobs and millions of indirect jobs. EPEE member companies have manufacturing sites and research and development facilities across Europe, which innovate for the global market.
As an expert association, EPEE is supporting safe, environmentally and economically viable technologies with the objective of promoting a better understanding of the Heating & Cooling sector in the EU and globally and contributing to the development of effective EU policies for the European Green Deal.
Do you want to work at the intersection of politics and industry on highly relevant climate and energy topics with long-term implications for the environment, energy, industry and society? Do you want to work in a team dedicated to making a real difference for the companies we represent?
EPEE is looking to recruit a full-time Policy Advisor, based in Brussels, to develop and manage EPEE‘s positions and advocacy on F-Gases. F-Gases are used as refrigerants in electrical refrigeration, heating and cooling applications, which in turn are key technologies to achieve 2050 climate neutrality. The use and emissions of F-gases are regulated at EU as well as international level.
The position is initially foreseen for two years. We offer a full-time Belgian work contract with benefits like meal vouchers etc.
As an important member of a young and passionate EPEE Team, you will be in charge of EU legislative files such as the EU F-Gas Regulation, acting as an interface between industry and politics, analyzing policy developments, reflecting them against industrial and technological realities, and producing arguments and messages relevant for the policy debates. The post will allow you to accumulate first-hand experience in managing EU legislative dossiers from A to Z as well as to acquire deep knowledge on the Heating & Cooling sector – a strongly growing sector and one of the most crucial sectors for the clean energy transition.
To apply, please send a CV together with a cover letter to DG@epeeglobal.org by 29 October 2021. Interviews shall be held remotely first (via Microsoft Teams).
