As part of expanding our team, we are looking for an experienced Head Of Policy - Lobbyist with previous working experience in EU institutions (Parliament, Commission, Council) or embassy to the EU will be highly valued.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Provide strategic legal and regulatory advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders on crypto assets upcoming EU and UK regulations, in order to enable the development of strong relationships with policymakers, policy advisers and stakeholders across all European and UK Institutions
Support on a wide variety of commercial agreements, including customised customer contracts, strategic partnerships, and third-party supplier contracts
Provide support for the business development of DCGG and relations with existing and new clients mainly in the EU market
Support DCGG’s Executive Director in daily team coordination and on general daily admin tasks
Lead on coordinating outreach to EU MEPs on vote days (including preparing voting lists)
Keep on top of developments on EU and UK crypto assets regulatory law
Coordinate and lead the work with DCGG’s members, providing daily/weekly policy insights updates
Monthly travel to Brussels
Competences, qualifications or experience:
Degree in Law, Economics, or Politics or similar
Experience in financial products from a regulatory law perspective and contracts/legal documents drafting can be advantage
Previous experience in EU Institutions or embassy to the EU will be highly valued
Interest in crypto assets and in EU Affairs and Finance/Economics
Very strong analytical and policy skills, ideally with expertise in public affairs
Ability to analyse and understand the policy implications of EU institutions and legislative proposals
Understanding of the mechanics of policy and legislative work in the European Parliament and political groups within the EU Parliament
Substantial knowledge of EU law, policymaking and procedures
Knowledge and experience with any of the following institutions will be an added value: FCA, Bank of England, HMT or Westminster ECON committee
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including tact and diplomacy, in dealing with a wide range of individuals and building good networks of contacts
Ability to work independently and under pressure under tight deadlines
Ability to work as part of a team
Sociable and at ease in a multicultural environment
Fluency and knowledge of English is mandatory
Fluency and knowledge of EU languages is a considerable advantage
