THE ORGANISATION

ACCELERATE International Multi-stakeholder organisation provides a transparent forum to discuss and address, in a timely fashion, overarching issues in the development of innovative anticancer medicines for children and adolescents with cancer. The ultimate goal is improvement in outcomes for children and adolescents with cancer. Patients and parents organisations, academic paediatric oncologists and haematologists, researchers, representatives from biopharma companies, regulatory networks and health technology assessment authorities are all equal members of ACCELERATE.

JOB OBJECTIVES

ACCELERATE is looking for a dynamic, skilful and autonomous Project Manager who will be supporting the implementation of a new EU-funded educational project as well as supporting the ACCELERATE team in its daily research and operational activities.

We are hence looking for a mixed profile, combining project management skills with a scientific background. The candidate should be curious and not afraid to explore new topics and acquire new skills for the diverse tasks and challenges encounter.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the day-to-day administrative and financial work of the educational project “ALADDIN” on behalf of ACCELERATE;
  • Support the implementation of the ALADDIN project’s educational programme in coordination with the ACCELERATE team;
  • Coordinate search and writing of EU-funded proposals for EU funding programmes (Erasmus+, etc.) on behalf of ACCELERATE;
  • Support the research and educational activities of ACCELERATE;
  • External representation of ACCELERATE and participation in events related to the missions above;
  • Contribute to any other tasks of ACCELERATE’s activities.

SKILL SPECIFICATIONS, PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Fluency in spoken and written English (other European languages would be an asset);
  • Professional experience in Project Management, particularly in the management of EU-funded projects (administrative, legal and financial tasks);
  • A scientific background is highly desired, especially if in the field of cancer research;
  • Educational experience is an asset (organization of courses, webinars, etc., and/or teaching background);
  • Creativity and strong communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Basic IT skills (search engines, MS Office, videoconference systems, etc.);
  • Interest in health and regulatory affairs;
  • Ability to function efficiently in a multi-task work environment and prioritise;
  • Profile demonstrating high degree of autonomy and self-initiative;
  • Willing to travel whenever required.

Reporting to the ACCELERATE Chair, CEO and Operations Coordinator.
