Since its founding in early 2020, AgencyIQ has quickly become the premier source of regulatory intelligence and analysis for life sciences professionals and is relied upon by many of the top companies, trade groups, law firms and advocacy groups in the life sciences industry.

As a subject matter expert in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical regulation related to the European Medicines Agency, the Senior Regulatory Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the relevance of regulatory changes and developments, articulating the type and degree of impact on life sciences companies, and providing context to an audience of knowledgeable regulatory intelligence professionals.

The Senior Regulatory Intelligence Analyst will join a team of experienced researchers responsible for producing a mix of daily content, in-depth research, weekly insights, directed deliverables and presentations.

The role will be part of a team examining the impact of global life sciences regulations and policy on the pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology and life sciences sectors.

As a member of the AgencyIQ team, the Senior Research Analyst will report to the Executive Director, Regulatory Policy and Intelligence, based in the US.

The job of the Senior Regulatory Intelligence Analyst is to serve as a subject matter expert on matters of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical regulation. While you will have a range of responsibilities, on most days you will:

  • Assist with the production of AgencyIQ’s European regulatory newsletter, EMA Today;
  • Interact with AgencyIQ subscribers to help answer ad hoc questions.

On an as-needed basis, you may also be asked to:

  • Develop, maintain and analyze specific research data sets;
  • Keep track of emerging regulatory developments and assist colleagues with research projects;
  • Help review research authored by your colleagues.

  • Have prior experience writing about regulatory developments in a deadline-driven environment for an executive or industry audience (e.g., for an internal company newsletter or for externally facing publications);
  • Have 3+ years of prior work experience related to regulatory affairs (e.g., working for a company, trade group, regulator, or professional services company);
  • Have experience, or be comfortable with, writing neutral, non-partisan, objective analysis;
  • Find enjoyment in reading, analyzing, writing, speaking and learning about challenging regulatory topics;
  • Have an attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative, friendly, international environment.

While Not Required, You Might Stand Out If You

  • Have an advanced degree related to policy analysis or science (PhD, MPH, MS, LLM, JD, etc.);
  • Hold a certificate in regulation such as the Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC);
  • Are fluent (or at least proficient reading knowledge) in German and/or French;
  • Have working knowledge of other regulatory systems or regulatory domains (such as medical devices and diagnostics, etc.) or geographies (such as the U.S.);
  • Have prior experience working with data research tools such as Tableau.

You Will Enjoy This Position If You

  • Enjoy learning something new every day (especially about the life sciences environment);
  • Enjoy a balance of independent work and collaboration;
  • Are adept at creating clear and engaging analysis from complex subject matter;
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, information-driven environment.
