About the Cancer Drug Development Forum

The Cancer Drug Development Forum (CDDF) is a non-profit organization, registered in Belgium, that provides a neutral, non-competitive platform for multi-stakeholder discussions and collaboration in the development of cancer drugs.

The CDDF’s mission is to facilitate collaboration between stakeholders, to increase efficiency in cancer drug development and accelerate the delivery of effective oncology treatment to patients. To achieve the mission, the CDDF offers multi-stakeholder discussions such as annual conferences, workshops and webinars, take part in EU initiatives and produce publications.

About the vacancy - Community and Communication Coordinator

The Community and Communications coordinator is responsible for the collaboration and communication with CDDF membership, external partners, stakeholders and other organizations. In addition, he/she supports the office with administrative tasks linked to these priorities as well as the implementation of CDDF’s communication plan. He/she will ensure timely collection and dissemination of key information related to the association and its activities. This position requires coordination across various contacts in/outside the organization and collection of information for dissemination to a wider range of audiences.

The Community and Communications Coordinator will report to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management - Memberships and Collaborations

  • Support DOO in the maintenance of members and collaborators:
    • Planning meetings, writing meeting minutes, following-up on action items, preparing marketing materials such as presentations and newsletters.
  • Support in the engagement of new stakeholders (patient advocates, regulators, HTAs, and etc.).

Communication and Marketing Projects

  • Implement and execute communication plans for CDDF conferences, workshops, webinars and joint meetings:
    • Creating social media posts, emailing, onsite interviews, marketing videos, images and slide decks;
    • Preparing and disseminating executive summaries.
  • Support in the execution of the association communication and marketing activities such as:
    • Preparing promotional documents;
    • Maintaining the CDDF website, intranet and social media management;
    • Preparing bi-monthly newsletters.

Assistance in the day-to-day running of the CDDF office

  • Provide administrative support for the various internal meetings of the association: schedule appointments and meetings, travel arrangements, accommodation, catering, venue booking, compile supporting papers;
  • Write meeting minutes;
  • Maintain files and databases;
  • Support in creating and editing documents and presentations;
  • Support in the creation of the annual report;
  • Handle other general administrative duties as assigned.

Fundraising & Finance

  • Submit yearly applications and monitor approval process and payments;
  • Plan yearly roadshow meetings with members to discuss plans for the future and ensure engagement and continuity of collaboration;
  • Prepare yearly outcome reports customized for each industry member;
  • Explore and contact potential member companies;
  • Update CDDF’s stripe report.

Conferences and workshops organisation

  • Act as a back-up person for events organization and support event team upon request;
  • Provide onsite support during CDDF meetings.

Requirements and desirables

  • A minimum of three professional years in communications or project management role(s);
  • Degree in communications/marketing/journalism or public health and other relevant field with strong evidential work experience in a communications role;
  • Project management skills;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and strong editing, proof-reading and graphical skills;
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills;
  • Proficiency in MS office, Canva, Wordpress, Emailing platform and social media platforms;
  • Flexibility to travel in Europe;
  • Experience in NGOs and/or interest in the medical field is a plus.
