Objective of the traineeship
The overall goal of the traineeship is to contribute to the elaboration of harmonised impact reporting products, notably in view of events in 2025/2026 such as the EIB Group Forum and the participation of the EIB to international fora (at EU, international levels, in particular the IMF/WB meetings, the Finance in Common Summit-FICS, and the UN General Assembly-UNGA, COP). You will contribute to the identification, collection, and processing of appropriate data to be used for internal/external information and provide support to the organisation of events on EIB Global activities.
You will also support coordination regarding EU policy aspects and contribute to related internal and external meetings.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head of Unit and senior colleagues, you will actively participate in the Unit’s core activities. Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Collect and process data in view of elaborating harmonised impact reporting products and related material on EIB operations outside the EU and EU's policy framework;
- Contribute to the preparation of events, in all aspects related to information and communication;
- Provide inputs in the form of aggregated data for the preparation of internal and external reports;
- Provide inputs to briefings, speeches etc. for events and other related activities (conferences, high-level visits etc.).
Academic qualifications and professional skills
- Final year of studies or University degree (preferably last year of Master) of a MENA/ACP partner country in Economics, Business Administration or in a related field;
- Experience in development policies, if possible, in an EU institution, will be considered as an advantage;
- Good to advanced knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other languages will be an asset.
