Spark Legal and Policy Consulting is looking to recruit pro-active and highly motivated trainees to strengthen the team on a full-time basis and to support one of the following areas:

• Justice and Home Affairs;
• Energy, Mobility and Environment;
• Employment, Education and Health;
• Internal Market, Financial Affairs and Competition;
• Communication Networks and Technology;
• Private sector.

The traineeship would start from the beginning of June 2025 and the successful candidates will be based in our Brussels office.   

As a trainee at Spark you will, amongst other things, engage in the following tasks:   

• Assisting with the acquisition of new projects and studies through tendering;   
• Assisting with project management of projects and studies, including the coordination of cross-border research teams;  
• Conducting legal and policy research and analysis, and reporting on findings;
• Communicating with a wide range of high-profile experts and clients.   

Essential criteria:   

• At least a Master’s Degree in Law (a stage/internship or other work experience at the EU institutions would be a plus);
• An interest in and understanding of EU law and policy;
• Excellent research and analysis skills;   
• A strong work ethic, an enthusiastic, flexible attitude, and excellent communication skills;
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team;   
• English language proficiency.
