The Fair Standards Alliance is seeking a highly motivated self-starter Legal/Policy Officer. This role aims to reinforce the FSA’s advocacy work for fairer licensing of standard essential patents to facilitate a healthy innovation ecosystem and the roll-out of the Internet of Things.
Are you an agile professional with an interest in technology, IP and/or competition law, who has experience working in international environment and with diverse stakeholders? As part of a small, but mighty team, you will be expected to contribute to planning and delivering public affairs campaigns on high-stakes technology policy issues.
We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, with good knowledge of EU policy development processes, strong analytical and project management skills and who excels at managing cross-functional relationships. A successful applicant will become part of a team dealing with some of the most interesting and intellectually challenging public policy issues of today.
Because of the scope, complexity, and diversity of the FSA’s advocacy work, our team members must be flexible, resourceful and able to work collaboratively with almost 50 members of the association to develop and present policy solutions. While the FSA team is based in Brussels, and the work is mainly focused on Brussels, it may also include public affairs projects in key European markets or other jurisdictions.

You are passionate and ambitious with curiosity and intellectual drive to learn and understand complex legal and technical subjects.
