Manager for Technology, Supply Chain and Strategic Autonomy

Main Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the CTO and Head of Sector for Technology, Supply Chain and Strategic Autonomy the Manager will contribute to the following tasks:
Key responsibilities:
- Support the activities of ECSO members and communities:
- Define the mission and implement the strategic objectives of the Working Group “Trusted Supply Chain” and the Working Group “Strategic Roadmap and Cybersecurity Technologies”;
- Gathering inputs and contributions from ECSO members;
- Animation of thematic workshops on technology or problem-specific topics (i.e Brokerage events).
- Production of Cybersecurity content on the following topics:
- Technical aspects of the policy development and policy implementation (including standardisation, certifications and guidelines);
- Preparing content and delivery activities: expert advice, deliverables, analysis, public consultations, short position papers, longer technical papers;
- Present and provide expert content during webinars, conferences, workshops, technical dialogues across Europe.
- Stakeholders’ engagement and outreach:
- Preparation of events and participation in meetings with ECSO members, Associations, institutional stakeholders (European SDOs, European Agencies and Commission), European projects;
- Support ECSO’s engagement in different communities from research as well as industry fields, including the liaison with the public-private partnerships and Joint Undertakings.
- Close cooperation with the ECSO policy team:
- Analyse the development of policies and regulations and potential relevance for standardisation and certification, including the technical impact;
- Contribute to public consultations.
Technological aspects:
- Develop a personal expertise in basic and disruptive technologies, analyse technology trends and potential emerging cyber security challenges:
- Examples of topic areas covered: IoT Security, AI in security, quantum (QKD, QCI, PQC), defence and space, Open-Source, network security, continuous computing, and other cybersecurity technology related topics.
- Monitor the activities of the relevant groups in standardisation and certification;
- Support the definition of technology roadmaps for cybersecurity identifying priorities for R&I and development of capabilities;
- Support the definition of new methodologies and approaches to support the management of secure supply chains and the use of cybersecurity standards and certification schemes.
Support to project management activities:
- Support the execution of ECSO’s commitments in EU projects (DEP and Horizon Europe) and tenders;
- Support with the preparation of technical deliverables and reports for the EU projects.
Requirements
- Relevant university degree in cybersecurity or ICT and related fields;
- Strong analytical (numeric & strategic) and process thinking capabilities;
- Effective communication and organisational skills;
- Interpersonal skills to manage communities;
- Quick, clear and concise drafting, reporting and presentation skills;
- Self-starter with a strong drive for challenges and growth;
- Strong organisational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly and with excellent attention to detail;
- Excellent knowledge of English is a must.
