Supporting executive leadership at the heart of Europe’s social development bank.

The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) is a multilateral development bank with a social mandate from its 43 member states. It finances social investments and provides technical assistance in sectors like education, health, housing and climate, with a focus on vulnerable populations.

As Executive Assistant to the Governor, you will coordinate a small team and ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Executive Office by allocating tasks to the pool of Executive Assistants. Providing direct support to the Governor and liaising with high-level stakeholders, you will manage complex schedules, prepare high-quality documents, and ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of all communications and processes.

You will oversee the Governor’s calendar, support meetings and missions, proofread and draft official correspondence, compile briefings, and ensure smooth logistics for high-level visitors. You will also organise team workflows, back-up systems, and internal coordination to maintain continuity and efficiency within the Executive Office.

To join, you’ll need:

  • a university degree (or equivalent professional experience) in office management, business administration, communication, languages or similar;
  • extensive senior-level administrative experience, ideally in an international or multilateral organisation;
  • proven skills in managing schedules, coordinating meetings, drafting and proofreading documents;
  • proficiency in MS Office and virtual communication tools;
  • proven experience in drafting, editing, and proofreading correspondence and documentation in English at an official or publication standard;
  • excellent bilingual command of English and French, written and spoken.

Experience in a multilateral development bank or other financial institution would be a strong asset.
