RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinating the work of the CEFS Internal and International Markets and Statistics (IMS) Working Group;
  • Monitoring and analysing developments in EU trade policy (bilateral trade negotiations, WTO matters, trade defence investigations), agriculture policy, and the EU sugar market;
  • Drafting positions on trade and agricultural policy and leading effective advocacy efforts;
  • Undertaking studies and economic analysis into the domestic support regimes of sugar-producing countries and other issues of relevance to CEFS members.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A Master’s degree in economics, international relations, or a related discipline;
  • 3-5 years of experience working within EU institutions, a trade association or consultancy. Trade policy experience a plus;
  • Excellent oral and written English skills. Fluency in French, German would be an asset;
  • MS suite proficiency (especially MS Excel);
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau (or willingness to learn them);
  • Personal: great networker and communicator; pro-active self-starter willing to expand the role; solution-oriented client/member-facing attitude.
