Role

COCIR is looking for a motivated Digital Health Intern to join our team! This internship offers hands-on experience in EU digital health policy and medical technology innovation. Interns will also gain exposure to multi-stakeholder coordination, contributing to COCIR’s objectives and interacting with EU institutions, industry, and other key stakeholders.

You will support COCIR’s digital health activities, working closely with and reporting to the Director of Innovation and Digital Health, as well as supporting the work of the Digital Health Committee and related Working Groups.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Monitor EU digital health policies, regulations, and initiatives, including topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, interoperability, and health data;
  • Conduct research and prepare briefs, summaries, and internal updates to support the work of the Digital Health Committee;
  • Assist in drafting internal and external communications, including statements, position papers, newsletters, and presentations;
  • Support the coordination and organisation of meetings, webinars, and working group activities;
  • Track progress of digital health initiatives and contribute to maintaining documentation of ongoing projects;
  • Represent COCIR in relevant external meetings or events, as required.

Profile

Education

  • Student or recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed or in progress) in Health Policy, Public Health, Biomedical Engineering, Digital Health, Health Informatics, European Affairs, or related fields;
  • A strong interest in digital health, medical technology, and EU health policy is essential.

Experience

  • Previous academic or professional experience related to digital health is an advantage.

Languages

  • Excellent command of English, including writing and proofreading skills;
  • Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills;
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks;
  • Proactive, curious, and motivated to learn in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Confident user of MS Office and digital collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint); familiarity with other tools is a plus.
