LLLP is looking for a Policy Assistant. The successful candidate will be a team player, eager to constantly learn, able to work within a multicultural environment and in a membership based organisation.
Job description and tasks
Policy support (90%)
Support the policy team with research and analysis of current policy initiatives;
Monitor relevant developments in EU legislative processes;
Communicate on policy initiatives and relevant developments to internal and external stakeholders;
Draft and disseminate reports, briefings and info notes for internal use;
Draft and disseminate the advocacy newsletters for LLLP members;
Liaise with the communication team for external dissemination and with the project team for aligning project outputs to the general LLLP policy objectives;
Attend and report on relevant meetings on behalf of LLLP without speaking duties;
Minute taking at LLLP policy events - Erasmus+ Coalition, internal working groups, flagship events, policy events of LLLP projects.
Admin (10%)
Support LLLP in the organisation of events;
Archive and file relevant documents created for policy and project colleagues.
Essential qualifications and/or experience
A post-secondary degree in the field of European studies, project management, educational sciences, political science or related discipline and/or relevant work or volunteer experience in education or in the non-profit sector;
An excellent command of the English language (spoken and written);
A keen interest to work on EU policy and initiatives.
Highly-valued
A genuine interest in lifelong learning, education and training;
Good writing and analysis skills, with the ability to adapt own language to the target audience;
Good digital skills and media literacy;
Experience with communication tools, such as Wordpress, Mailchimp, Basecamp and Social Media;
Knowledge of EU funding programmes (especially Erasmus+);
Knowledge of additional languages.
