BIPAR, the European Federation of Insurance Intermediaries, is currently looking for a “Legal Adviser European Affairs” (M/F).
Function:
The “Legal Adviser European Affairs” will be part of a small team. He/she will be responsible for monitoring, analysing and advising on EU regulatory and policy developments on a wide range of issues relevant for the European insurance intermediation industry (investment, taxation, AI, liability-related issues, cyber insurance, AML, sustainability issues including climate change and natural catastrophes).
He/she will contribute to the development of position papers and newsletters, ensure effective cooperation and coordination with different stakeholders, develop working relationships with the EU institutions and support and report to BIPAR working parties and committees.
He/she will contribute to promote the positions and interests of the European insurance intermediation industry at seminars, conferences and working groups across Europe.
Profile:
- Minimum two years of experience in (EU) legal affairs or equivalent;
- University level master’s degree in law, preferably with special focus on European law, and good knowledge of the European decision-making process;
- Good organisational and communication skills;
- Excellent team spirit, sense of responsibility, ability to take initiatives and be proactive;
- Excellent drafting skills in English, excellent verbal communication skills in English (+ 2 additional European languages - preferably French as one of the additional languages);
- Experience with use of social media and other communication channels;
- Experience in the financial/insurance service sector would be a plus - or alternatively a keen interest in the financial/insurance service sector.
