Who we are

The European Semiconductor Industry Association (ESIA) is the association representing the European semiconductor industry toward the European institutions. Semiconductor products are the key enablers for improved energy performance, security, and connectivity across a wide range of everyday technology applications. They contribute to tackling global challenges through innovative solutions in industry, mobility, healthcare, as well as consumer electronics for positive societal change.

Moreover, ESIA represents the European industry in the World Semiconductor Council (WSC) alongside sectors in China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United States. To-gether, these major chip-producing regions shape the agenda and activities of the semiconductor industry at a worldwide level.

The role

ESIA is seeking to recruit a full-time EU Public Affairs Officer. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and report on EU public policy developments;
  • Advise and proactively drive members’ positions and execute advocacy plans;
  • Manage internal working groups and/or project related activities independently;
  • Ensure members are kept up-to date on the evolution of covered issues;
  • Prepare, execute and follow-up on meetings, including presentations, briefings, and position papers;
  • Build a strong network with relevant stakeholders and EU institutions;
  • Define and assist in executing appropriate communication strategies, including the or-ganisation of external events.

Profile

Requirements:

  • Min. 3 years of professional experience in European affairs;
  • Good knowledge of EU institutional procedures;
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills – additional language skills are an advantage;
  • Ability to analyse and present complex content adjusted to the audience;
  • General interest for technology issues and for semiconductors more specifically;
  • Is an accurate, well-organised, and reliable team player;
  • Willingness to travel.
