This role will support the development and implementation of an integrated Europe and Canada (EUCAN) Region Government Affairs and Policy strategy and engagement plan to position AZ as Government partner of choice, ensure patient access to new medicines, uptake of existing medicines, and raise the profile of AZ priorities and brands as well as proactively position AZ as a innovation leader in the Europe and Canada region.
This person will monitor the EUCAN political environment and will provide advice on its impact and opportunities for AZ business and support the development and co-ordination of multi-faceted advocacy/influencing strategies to promote, support, and/or defend primary business goals and policy objectives. In addition, this person will also be accountable for the strategic planning and coordination of Government Affairs and Policy activities across the EUCAN region.
This role requires strong collaboration, alignment and networking skills and an ability to navigate effectively within our organisation S/he will report directly to the Director of EUCAN Government Affairs, work closely with the Director of the Brussels offic, global, regional and market-based teams covering Commercial, Medical Affairs, Payer and Corporate Affairs Functions to develop strategic government engagement platforms and partnerships.
