Linklaters is looking for an Advisor to strengthen the EU Law & Policy Group in Brussels. The successful candidate will join an international hub of EU expertise, working hand in hand with lawyers to help clients anticipate regulatory changes and thrive in the highly dynamic EU regulatory environment.
The EU Law & Policy Advisor will monitor and analyse EU policy and legislative developments of relevance to clients, pro-actively build and grow a network in the field of EU digital and taxation policies. The successful candidate will competently draft internal and client-facing knowledge & learning material and contribute to the smooth functioning of the firm’s EU law network.
Profile
- You are looking for a new challenge and have a proven strong interest in the EU policy and law-making process;
- You have at least 3 years of working experience in one of the EU institutions or in the EU public affairs industry;
- You have a first-class degree in European politics, economics or law, ideally with expertise in EU digital and taxation policy;
- You are passionate about EU law and have thorough knowledge of the EU legislative process and EU politics;
- You are a pro-active self-starter and a quick learner, motivated to take ownership of own responsibilities and to show initiative;
- You like working and networking with people of different cultural backgrounds and at all levels of seniority, both internally and externally;
- You are a highly effective communicator with excellent oral and written skills;
- You are fluent in English.
