Position Overview: Manager or Senior Manager for International Affairs & Trade Policy

We are looking for a dynamic Policy Manager who will shape activities and positions related to digital trade policy and international affairs within DIGITALEUROPE. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of international trade and digital policy, and related areas at the national, European, and international level.

In this role, the Policy Manager will help shape the future positioning in an increasing complex geopolitical context and contribute to defining how the private sector can play a role to make Europe a champion in digital (trade) policy-making in key international fora. The Policy Manager will report to the Senior Manager for International Affairs & Trade Policy.

Responsibilities include stakeholder outreach, delivering value to members and external stakeholders when facilitating meetings, and establishing common positions with members.

Key requirements:

  • Four to six years of relevant industry or governmental experience;
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in international trade policy;
  • Proven experience working with the EU institutions, WTO, G7, OECD, UN etc.;
  • Motivated, well-organized, team player;
  • Proven ability to engage with high-level stakeholders and promoting a common vision;
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.

Valuable Additional Qualifications:

  • Deliver convincing results in stakeholder and alliance building;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment;
  • Skill in building consensus amongst different stakeholders;
  • Experience working in an association, corporate or government;
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills;
  • Strong presentation skills, including experience presenting to members, senior staff and external audiences;
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German and/or French is an asset;
  • Background in policy, business management, or consultancy.
