The EIB, the European Union's bank is seeking to recruit for its Group Corporate Services Directorate (GCS), Group Digital Office (GDO), Business Solutions Department (BSD), Corporate Applications Division (CA), Transversal Solutions Unit (TS) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a (Senior) IT Service Delivery Manager*. This is a full time position at grade 5/6.

Purpose

Are you searching for a dynamic role in which you could use your problem solving approaches? As a (Senior) IT Service Delivery Manager), you will deliver a wide range of IT projects with the support of a project team to enhance our digital collaboration platforms and participate to the rationalisation and simplification of solutions managed by the team.

Operating Network

The Unit identifies, implements and maintains technical solutions, which aims to digitalise and optimise business and IT processes.

The set of solutions is represented by commercial off-the-shelf applications (COTS) and cloud applications (SaaS) e.g. Plunet, TeamMate+, Celonis, Hopex.

The team focuses on two major directions: sourcing and implementing solutions, and providing the maintenance and support via externalized services. The solutions are used at the EIB Group level.

You will report to the Head of Transversal Solutions Unit.

Accountabilities

Implement IT solutions with a focus on digitalisation (automating workflows, building team sites, industrialising the management of applications, including, but not limited to moving to Cloud-based services where appropriate); ensure that the solutions are in line with business requirements while remaining cost effective;
Conduct and coordinate business analysis with business analysts/or business representatives and external consultants to produce application specifications;
Proactively manage the overall evolution, maintenance and support activities for IT applications and technologies to ensure the reliability of existing applications and best quality services to customers;
Liaise with internal IT teams, Business units and external service providers to deliver the defined level of service;
Coordinate the work of the IT application consultants to the highest standards, project discipline and accountability; make sure they are reaching their objectives coming from projects and/or maintenance and support activities;
Responsible for all project management tasks and activities related to, but not limited to, procuring software and services driven by business needs and in line with the EIB with internal principles and policies and market best practice.

Qualifications

University degree preferably in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management, Business Informatics;
At least 5 years' of relevant professional experience in IT sourcing, implementing and service delivery of COTS and SaaS applications;
Proven experience in IT project management (principles, methods, practices), ITIL, managing service contracts, including procuring software and services, ideally in a public service environment;
Proven experience in Business Analysis; able to work with various counterparts, understand and translate their requirements;
Experience working with external service providers in a multisource environment;
Fluent in English and/or French(*) and preferably a solid understanding of the other.
