About the position:

SQUARIS is seeking to hire a proactive and results-oriented professional to join our team to work on EU funded projects.

The Financial & Administrative Manager will support the team with the implementation and management of several important EU funded projects (Horizon 2020 and ISF projects).

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for financial management and reporting for several EU funded projects (prepare financial & administrative documents as well as project documentation to ensure full compliance);
  • Ensure compliance with technical, administrative, and financial rules as per the grant agreements and service contracts;
  • Provide support in the legal and financial management of procurement procedures;
  • Provide support in planning resource allocation and budget for the projects;
  • Prepare financial reports, by collecting and consolidating time sheets data;
  • Support other financial activities of the associations;
  • Provide occasional support in drafting project proposals.

Requirements for the position:

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (such as Business/Public Administration, Finance, Procurement, Economics) is required;
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience is required, preferably in handling EU projects funded under Horizon Europe and ISF programme;
  • Experience in one of the following domains is desired – telecom, space, or digital policy.

Technical Skills

  • Very good knowledge of funding programs (especially Horizon Europe and ISF) procedures;
  • Excellent and proven organisational skills, including ability to plan workload, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple projects;
  • Proficient computer skills, especially MS Office applications and programs for time reporting and financial reporting.

Inter-personal and Other Skills

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude;
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate within a small team;
  • Outgoing and professional with the ability to engage and motivate partners and colleagues;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset;
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.


  • Proficiency in English (CEFR - C1 or above) is required;
  • Proficiency in another European language is desired.


Part-time position (3 or 4/). Full time could also be considered. Status of employee or self-employed.
